Most remember 9/11/2001. .. But .. on February 26, 1993 terrorists attacked the World Trade Center…

Terrorists detonated a truck bomb in the underground parking garage beneath the North Tower of the World Trade Center. The bomb, built with over 1,000 pounds of explosives, was intended to topple one tower into the other.

The explosion killed six people, injured more than 1,000, and created a massive crater several stories deep. Smoke filled the towers, forcing thousands to evacuate in darkness. The attack was carried out by Islamist extremists linked to Ramzi Yousef. It marked the first major terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

We didn’t “Learn our lesson” from that one .. and the rest is history ..

IRAN: Iran has rejected accusations that it is seeking nuclear weapons, denouncing US President Donald Trump’s latest remarks as false and misleading.

Trump has repeatedly demanded that Tehran dismantle its nuclear program and curb its ballistic missile capabilities. In his State of the Union address, he claimed Iran was again pursuing “sinister ambitions” and warned that he would “never allow” it to obtain an atomic weapon.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei responded in a post on X, accusing the US administration and the “war profiteers encircling it, particularly the genocidal Israeli regime,” of using propaganda tactics against Iran.

“Professional liars are good at creating the ‘illusion of truth’,” Baqaei wrote, quoting Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels’ maxim that “repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth.”

Now, Trump CAN and DOES stretch the truth … But.. so does Iran .. So.. Who is lying now?

INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND: US national debt will surge to 140% of GDP within five years, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned, urging Washington to slash its fiscal deficit to rein in outsized trade and current account gaps.

The US national debt has swelled to more than $38 trillion, and the fiscal shortfall is deepening, data shows. It represents a $2.25 trillion increase over the past year, with debt projected to hit $39 trillion by April. The federal budget deficit rose from roughly $1.4 trillion in fiscal year 2022 to about $1.8 trillion last year, according to the IMF’s latest figures.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday after the fund’s annual review of American economic policies, IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva said that “the current account deficit is too big, to make it very simple for the audience.” She said that the problem is recognized by the US administration.

Well.. YEAH.. I think we ALL KNOW that.. Will a little chastising change anything in the SWAMP? .. I doubt it…. Whaddaya YOU think???

Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, was asked about this phenomenon.. or.. indicator and did NOT deny it .. He responded, “Yes, we are aware of this theory. I plan to start ordering a ton of pizzas on random nights to throw everyone off” .. AHAHHA… THAT is funny !!!

Sure thing? .. When Elon Musk came in and started DOGE some of his “fans” put bets out on the “prediction markets” apps that he would be successful. That they would cut spending and save America money ..

Economist and tax expert Alan Cole wasn’t buying it.. (and crap.. If I knew this was a possible bet, I woulda done it) … Cole bet that DOGE wouldn’t work .. All that had to happen was the Federal Government would spend MORE in each quarter of 2025 than they did in 2024… Which, is a pretty safe bet, right? That the Swamp Rats would spend more and more..

Cole took his entire life savings, $342,195.63 and bet … and of course… WON !!

The government published the final 2025 figures Feb. 20. It wasn’t even close. The lowest spending quarter in 2025 was $66 billion above the bet’s target level. Cole collected $470,300, for a profit of more than $128,000, or 37%. (Yes, he had some “hedges”) ..

While soaking in the standing ovation, the classy Hughes skated over and grabbed his USA Teammate, Tage Thompson, off the Buffalo bench and the two of them stood at center ice and were applauded ..

Devils Owner Dave Blitzer did a ceremonial face off bewteen Thompson and Hughes.. where NJ Governor Mikie Sherrill was roundly booed…

The Sabres went on to win with Thompson getting a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win.. (Maybe shoulda not been so nice to him !!) .. Hughes assisted on Timo Meier’s goal ..
