Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Eric Goodman ordered Joshua Sanchez-Lopez released on electronic monitoring, a program that allows defendants to leave jail while wearing a GPS ankle bracelet.
Joshua Sanchez-Lopez, 36, is a felon whose record includes 35 arrests and prior prison time for drug and involuntary manslaughter charges. The last time he was out on bail with an ankle monitor, he ran from officers while ARMED with a gun…
Sheriff McMahill is saying, “NO” to the judge. He is refusing to release Lopez.
"We have to take a look at that and say, ‘Is this somebody who our electronic supervision program can monitor safely in the community?’" Mike Dickerson, assistant general counsel for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, told KLAS. "This is an issue of public safety."
The Sheriff’s office is asking the Nevada Supreme Court to step in, arguing state law gives Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill the authority to determine whether supervising someone outside jail would pose an unreasonable risk to public safety.
GOOD for Nevada .. and Good for this Sheriff. We HAVE to end this whole, “the criminals wishes are more important than the thousands of people in his neighborhood” crap!!!

Iran’s Minister of Intelligence Esmaeil Khatib was killed overnight in a precision strike.

SENATE SAVE ACT .. Senate leader John Thune did his “bash the Dems” speech yesterday to kick off the Save Act festivities .. Of course, he is one sided..
“I haven’t heard Democrats complaining about the thousand other circumstances in which we require photo ID in this country. Democrats are aware that Americans have to show photo ID to get on a plane, right? And to start a new job, and when they head to the doctor’s office and to rent a car and to stay in a hotel. Heck, if you want to get a library card, you have to show a photo ID,” Thune said.
“The Democrats remember their 2024 convention, when a attendees had to show a photo ID to get in? The senior Democrat senator from Georgia required photo ID to get into his recent rally…Mr. president, do Democrats hear themselves? Are they going to start boycotting libraries and airplanes and hotels for requiring a photo ID?”
“Are they going to explain why they are perfectly justified in their requiring a photo ID for their political rallies, but why it is somehow an intolerable burden to ask people to show a photo ID when they go to vote?” he asked.
The Democrat leadership opposed has “their side” to the story .. People can’t find their birth certificate and it costs $25-$50 to get a copy, which is a poll tax, which is unlawful” .. “A married woman that changes her name would lost her right to vote (until she re-registers)” ..
Their arguments would hold a LITTLE weight except the registration requirements are for NEW voters. If you are already registered, they know who you are and you can vote with a valid, government issued ID.
The REAL issue is “Mail-In” voting.. Which is where the ballot harvesting chicanery comes it..
To combat that.. For mail in balloting: No blanket mailing out ballots so that multiple ballots go to multiple addresses, A photocopy or picture of your ID must come with the ballot.. No waiting weeks and weeks after election day for mail in ballots.. .. If you are a registered voter and need a mail-in ballot you can still request one.
The Democrats have A LOT of momentum for the midterm elections .. Price levels are still high despite inflation moderating, which is the MAIN thing swing voters are looking at.. Trump had HUGE approval for his border closing, but lost a lot of support with the ICE stories.. Large Spending on the Wars when healthcare is still expensive…
The Dem leaders better be careful.. Their master plan to create a uni-party by helping non-Americans vote and gerrymandering will fail if they keep going against what 80% of Americans want..

TSA Agents are resigning in droves and others are calling in sick because they are not getting paid .. If you are traveling anywhere.. Leave EXTRA TIME.. and maybe invest in TSA Pre-Check or CLEAR to cut the line !!!

The top U.S. counterterrorism official, Joe Kent, said he had resigned over his concerns with the war in Iran.
“I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran,” Joe Kent, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, said in a social media post on X. “Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby,” he wrote.
The White House didn’t immediately comment on the resignation. Kent was seen as an ally of Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, under whom he worked.
In his resignation letter, Kent said he supported the foreign policies that Trump campaigned on over the last three presidential cycles but that the president had veered away from his goals of avoiding “never-ending wars.”
