After putting Califorinia into a death spiral .. Including litterally letting part of it burn to the ground .. The out going Governor has a NEW IDEA to make him “look good” as he readies his Run for President..

Newsom says that the state will soon begin providing every “newborn delivered in a participating California hospital” 400 diapers at no cost. “This is what affordability looks like,” he said. “It’s not a slogan. It’s a box. It’s a box of diapers.”

Apparently he’s serious.

The program will cost $20 million for 400 diapers a baby.. or .. .50 a diaper.. You can get them at Costco or Target for .12-.16 a diaper… So .. His program costs taxpayers THREE TIMES what it would cost to just give the kids a gift certificate for diapers at Target…

Now, NORMALLY, I would point out the stupidity .. The waste … The political grandstanding .. .But.. Ya know…. WHO is the idiot?

We should all come up with programs like this… Offer to run it… Let the Governor (or Mayor) take credit for making “poor families lives more affordable” .. and WE KEEP THE $12 MILLION !!!

I mean.. If shameless politicians are going to throw away $12 million to look good, WHY NOT CATCH IT !!!

Kevin Warsh took another step toward becoming Federal Reserve chair.

The upper chamber voted to approve Warsh’s nomination by a 51-45 vote, on a mostly party-line basis. Only Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., crossed lines to vote in favor.

Next up for the nominee is the vote to be chair, which is expected today.

Terms for governors last 14 years, while the chair’s term goes for four years. Warsh’s vote also means the end of Stephen Miran’s brief term on the board. Miran also was a Trump nominee and filled the seat vacated by Adriana Kugler, who resigned in August 2025.
