DEBATE Night

There will be “Debate Talk” all over the place today…

So, I’ll keep it brief…

My #1 Take is how WRONG I was .. The CNN Moderators actually “Moderated” .. I was expecting them to be part of the Debate (As was Trump.. I believe he said last week he was expecting to debate three people..Joe and the two Moderators) … They were fair .. They pushed both sides but didn’t attack Trump .. I was surprised .. So.. Good Job to them ..

My #2 take was near the end.. they started talking trash about GOLF!!! .. It was almost like one of the fake AI videos of them arguing .. Biden said he was a six handicap … HAHAHA.. Trump said, “You couldn’t hit a ball 50 yards” ..HAHAHAH.. I love it..

You’ll hear all day today.. and for the next few months.. Biden walked out looking like a corpse.. He spoke weakly .. fumbled words.. I felt really bad for him .. He did manage a few zingers .. He “prepped” and had a few lines.. insults for Trump … They worked .. but.. his overall appearance was just horrendous… The White House “spin” is that he has a cold.. It isn’t working..

Trump was himself .. but a little less A-hole than usual.. He had his screw ups .. But .. I didn’t see any of what I expected .. I expected screaming matches with the CNN Hosts.. and tantrums.. and Hunter attacks (there were only a few) .. He said some mean stuff.. but.. way less than normal..

I can’t say Trump “won” the debate .. but.. Biden definitely lost ..

Now What? … I dunno … Will they force him out? .. Who would step in? Newsom? Whitmer? .. If they don’t and somehow he wins, are you ready for President Kamala Harris?

Anyways.. Everywhere I look the headlines are about the debate .. so.. Not a lot else to Rant about today.. but.. Here goes..

OKLAHOMA: OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma’s top education official ordered public schools Thursday to incorporate the Bible into lessons for grades 5 through 12, the latest effort by conservatives to incorporate religion into classrooms.

The directive drew immediate condemnation from civil rights groups and supporters of the separation of church and state, with some calling it an abuse of power and a violation of the U.S. Constitution.

Again, you can’t take public money and fund religion. You can put “education about religions and the 10 commandments” in the curriculum.. but you can’t “demand” every school mandate “Bible Study” …

and..

SCOTUS:

Looks like the “Trump Immunity” ruling will come next week. .. I would expect to see the Justices say the Presidential Immunity from lawsuits and prosecution is broad .. and while President you can’t have people suing the President .. But, I expect them to say it’s not “limitless” … So…

Actions that have nothing to do with being President should not be covered.. You can’t rob and pillage and face no consequences after you leave office.. But, if you order a military strike and civilians are killed you can’t be charged with murder. Every President since I have been alive would have gone to jail for that …

and..

Missouri: Michelle Y. Peters, 47, of Lebanon, Missouri was AAAANGRRYY at her husband because she threw him a 50th Birthday party and he “wasn’t appreciative enough” .. Soooooo

She started putting Roundup Weed Killer in his Mountain Dew. When he told her he wasn’t feeling well she said, “You probably have Covid” … He noticed the Mountain Dew’s were tasting a bit funny.. So, he replaced them… and the new one’s started tasting funny, too.

So, he checked the security video.. and sure enough.. BAMM !! She was trying to poison him. Police questioned her and she denied knowing anything… Then they showed her the tape … and she said, “ I shoulda just divorced him” (uhh.. YEAH!!).. She is under arrest for “first-degree assault and armed criminal action.”

Huh.. not attempted murder?

The lesson here to you married guys … One, if your wife throws you a party JUMP FOR JOY in front of her for a week… Also, if your drinks taste funny… RUN !!!!

RIP to Singer/Writer Kinky Freidman, 79. You may know his songs about Texas.. Or his books like, “Elvis, Jesus and Coca Cola” .. Friedman battled cancer..

TikTok/Internet sensation the “Hawk Tuah” girl ..HERE.. is CASHING IN.. Hailey Welch went viral for a video of her when she was out drinking with her friend in Nashville. She was asked what “move in bed” works with the boys every time .. She said, “Hawk Tuah!! Spit on that Thang” …

She is now endorsing all sorts of stuff ..HERE.. and has a management company .. and has already made over $100k… all for ONE silly statement .. (oh.. and being cute, of course) .. HERE..

and…

Actress Emma Roberts ..HERE.. is doing press for a new film and was pressed by some tabloids about being a nepo-baby .. (Her dad is Eric Roberts and her aunt is Julia Roberts) .. She said on a podcast (I think rightly) that having famous relatives isn’t always a help. More is expected of you .. and if a director or producer has had a bad experience with her dad or aunt then she has no chance of getting a role .. All fair to say, I think .. But.. then she said she gets worse treatment because she is a girl ..

Emma ..HERE.. said no one asks these same questions of George Clooney … ummm.. Huh? .. Clooney’s dad was a B or C-list writer that never gained any fame. The best he ever did was do the news on the AMC network for a few years.. … His aunt was Rosemary Clooney who was a singer .. Not sure how that gets you on “ER” .. but… Whatever.. Emma was helped by her aunt’s fame for sure.. .. NEXT!!
