The SCOTUS takes the first spot in the Rant .. ‘Portant Decisions…
Three issues.. (Four cases.. They stuck the two Trans cases together)
Campaign Finance: National Republican Senatorial Committee v. Federal Election Commission. The SCOTUS overruled lower courts on “limits under the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) on coordinated party expenditures” .. Basically, this is in line with the Citizen United ruling on 2001. It is just ANOTHER ruling that allows MORE money into politics.
The press is spinning this as a “Win” for Trump.. But .. I don’t see how. BOTH parties have HUGE donors that operate in the shadows. The BIG MONEY from foreigners, foreign governments, Drug Companies and the like is just BAD for America… At some point, something has to be done.

Birthright Citizenship: Trump v. Barbara .. The SCOTUS shoots down Trump’s Executive Order banning birthright citizenship for people unlawfully or temporarily in the country. The argument was over the clause in the 14th Amendment that says, “subject to the jurisdiction of ..(The United States)”
The majority (Justice Roberts and Justice Barrett sided with Sotomayor, Jackson, and Kagan) held that the children in question ARE, in fact, subject to the jurisdiction of the USA and therefore are citizens under the 14th amendment.

Males playing Girls Sports: West Virginia v. B.P.J. and Little v. Hecox …The cases dealt with both the 14th Amendment (Equal Protections) and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which bars gender-based discrimination in education. That statute was adjusted under the “Javits Amendment” two years after its implementation to allow for biological sex-based categorizations in sports.
States that violate Title IX are required to lose federal funding. So, several states banned males competing in girls sports. Lower courts tried to disallow the bans. The Supreme Court has allowed them.
In his concerrence, Justice Thomas took the opportunity to speak some clear truths. I think because he doesn’t expect another case for a LONG time and he might be gone from the court by then…
He Wrote “Men and boys with gender dysphoria are not women or girls, even if they believe that they are. Sex is an immutable ‘biological’ characteristic, see ante, at 10; it is binary; and ‘man’ and ‘woman,’ ‘boy’ and ‘girl,’ are the terms that correspond to adults and children of each sex.”
He added, “To use language to obscure reality to show ‘indifference regarding the truth’— is to lie to the public and cease to treat our fellow citizens ‘as equal[s].’”

Gotta say .. I think the SCOTUS got all three right when it comes to the Constitution
… But, I wish our CONGRESS would do their jobs and update Campaign Finance laws and update the 14th amendment to end “anchor babies”. At this point, there are like 2 Billion women in the world that are a plane ticket away from America that could fly here to have a baby. .. Which you and I have to pay for…

Federal prosecutors say a Russia-based transnational criminal organization orchestrated one of the largest Medicare fraud schemes ever uncovered, using New York as a major hub.
Investigators allege the group secretly acquired more than 30 Medicare-enrolled medical supply companies, including a Brooklyn storefront, then submitted over $10 billion in fraudulent claims—primarily for urinary catheters—using stolen identities from more than 1 million Medicare beneficiaries and 7,000 doctors. Medicare paid about $941 million before the scheme was uncovered.
A Billion in ONE scheme and there are certainly others !!

Turns out, Robbins had a HEART ATTACK while trying to bury her body. DEAD!! ..

Norway wins 2-1 .. The France/Sweden game got off to a slow start but France dominated from mid-first on.. 3-0 France… and Mexico had the Mexican crowd rocking.. 2-0 win over Ecuador.. It’s Mexico’s first knockout round victory in 40 years !!
