Its a VANCE

Former President Donald Trump named Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio as his running mate settling on a much younger partner who could help appeal to working-class voters in critical Midwest battleground states.

The announcement was made as the Republican National Convention kicked off… Trump won the nomination .. and now you have tons of boring speeches…

If Trump is elected, Vance, who turns 40 in August, would be one of the youngest vice presidents in history and one with just two years of elected experience. But he is a figure closely associated with the style and views of Trump’s conservative, populist movement.

Given how closely Vance aligns with Trump, he could be less effective with independents and moderate Republicans.

Vance rose to fame from very humble beginnings. A self-proclaimed, “Hillbilly” from Appalachia who had a rough childhood. He escaped family issues poverty, drug and alcohol abuse then served in the military and then got a Yale Law degree.

If you haven’t read the book, “Hillbilly Elegy” you should..

One thing of note .. Vance’s wife Usha .. Her parents came to America from India .. she met Vance at Yale .. She is.. well…. Think of the Republican version of George Clooney and Amal .. Usha will be the smartest second lady in history if Trump wins..

SHOOTING: The “investigation into the screw-up” starts..

There are all sorts of people pointing fingers… But, “the story they’re goin with” is that the “missing link” was the local policemen on the scene where the shooter was. They had no ladder and one climbed on the others back to see on the roof. He saw the shooter and fell back. They should have IMMEDIATELY radioed Secret Service and ordered the President off the stage. Shortly after the local police encounter is when the boy started shooting.

Maybe the most embarrassing part is that the “team” that was responsible for that area was INSIDE the building. They used the ACTUAL building as a “base” and did not have access to the roof. OUCH.. I read it was the same group that is still trying to figure out who left cocaine at the White House..

One thing I didn’t like was the FBI saying this: … “The gunman acted alone and wasn’t on the FBI’s radar before the shooting”, said Kevin Rojek, the bureau’s special agent in charge of the Pittsburgh office. ..

I would call that a premature, impossible to prove statement.

The “investigation” just started. You haven’t found the bullets. You don’t have all the information. You can’t be SURE there was no one else.. Now, he MIGHT be right .. It would SEEM he’s right.. but… I don’t think you can rule out an accomplice or two that quickly .. How did the shooter get on that roof? Witnesses say he jumped from the neighboring building.. well.. how did he get on the OTHER roof?

There are several retired snipers, including a guy named Dallas Alexander who has the world’s longest confirmed kill, saying there is just NO WAY the kid didn’t have help. Someone from the inside aided or looked the other way.

“You’re gonna tell me that that kid went through all those levels of security, somehow got into the closest building to the president and accessed the rooftop, then had the time to unpack his rifle, lay down and then take five to eight well-aimed shots at the president before he was decisively engaged?”

Those are experts .. they say someone on the inside helped …

Kim Cheatle, the head of the Secret Service, is ignoring calls to step down .. There are many calling her a DEI hire and blaming DEI for the near miss. There were several women on the Secret Service team at the event ..

RFK Jr will get Secret Service protection now for the rest of the Presidential Race.. Trump posted that he should … Biden relented after refusing to allow it for months..

With no party winning a majority the horse trading starts.. The Far Left wingers will try to form a coalition with the Macron party against Marine Le Pen .. The Far Left coalition (Called the NFP, New Popular Front) wants things like a 90% top tax rate .. a Maximum Inheritance (anything over it goes to the government), a tax on your wealth.

France has tried some of this before.. and it didn’t raise much money.. .Because rich people will MOVE… Between 2000 an 2014 42,000 people with net worth over $1 million moved out .. Macron abolished the Wealth Tax in 2018…

I’m not sure I even want to VISIT ….

EU: Big Brother is COMING for you !! .. ISA ..”Intelligent Speed Assist” is now a requirement in cars .. It is a regulator .. and if you exceed the speed limit it has three levels .. First, it notifies you.. then it warns you… then it SLOWS YOUR CAR DOWN to the speed limit .. Good God !!

Case Dismissed: The “classified documents case” against former President Trump has been dismissed. Why? .. Well, here is the best way I can explain without taking up half your morning..

Kings would create offices and then fill them.. “New office of taxation on Tea .. My brother Henry, Earl of Wigan, will run it” .. Our Constitution framers said, “We don’t want that....Congress creates the office by law.. The President will be allowed to appoint but Senate must approve. This is an important check on the power of the President.

Thus, the office of the special counsel was not created by law. The Attorney General created it, then appointed him. The Senate never confirmed him. He isn’t a “Government Prosecutor”. The Executive Branch does not have this power. So, case dismissed.

The decision continues the court’s, “reining in” of the Executive Branch overstepping their bounds. (This is not a dig on Biden.. It’s been going on for over 20 years. As Congress got more and more partisan and it became harder to get agreements, the Executive Branch started trying to push through their agenda with Executive Orders and Agencies)

We are in a sports desert … Over a month until Football season..No college Football.. .. Mid-Season baseball is meaningless.. But we DO have the All Star Game !!

Last night it was Home Run Derby .. LA Dodger Teoscar Hernandez wins .. He beat Royals shortstop Ed Witt Jr. in the Final when Witt’s last at bat hit the wall! DRAMA!! …But the BIG Drama happened BEFORE the event..

Ingrid Andress must be a big user of auto-tune .. The “internet singer” did the National Anthem and it was historically awful. Cringeworthy Bad .. She must be related to someone.. or sleeping with someone… I’ve read several reports calling it the “Worst Ever” … I dunno.. Roseanne was worse.. and maybe Fergie … Carl Lewis ..

Tonight is the Big Game .. The starting pitchers are Corbin Burnes and Rookie phenom Paul Skenes.. Skenes is an ANIMAL.. 6 foot 6 inches 235lbs and throws it 104 MPH.. It will be interesting to see how he does against THESE Hitters…

Comedian/Musician Jack Black has a band with his old buddy Kyle Gass called, “Tenacious D” .. They were are in Australia doing a few shows .. It was Kyle’s 64th birthday and while onstage Black asked, “what do you want for your birthday” and he said, “the Trump shooter doesn’t miss next time” … Ouch, dude. .. Call him The Evil Orange Man .. vote him out.. but.. Geez.. Don’t wish for murders ..
