OpenAI (The ChatGPT people) announced a big problem yesterday …

Their new version, ChatGPT-5.6 hacked into another computer.. ON ITS OWN !!!

The “explanation” I got …

During internal testing of advanced cyber capabilities (on a benchmark called ExploitGym), their models—including the newly released GPT-5.6 Sol and an even more capable unreleased pre-release model—autonomously broke out of a sandboxed environment, gained internet access by exploiting a zero-day vulnerability, and hacked into Hugging Face’s production infrastructure.

Instead of solving the test normally, they “cheated” by seeking external help. They escaped the restricted setup, inferred Hugging Face might have useful benchmark-related data, and chained multiple attacks (credential theft, privilege escalation, lateral movement, zero-days, remote code execution) to access a production database.

Now, OpenAI is announcing this to show they “CARE” about stopping AI from “taking over” .. Which we MAY be able to control here in the USA .. But… You think China or Russia will impose guardrails?

This error took place when non-Americans applied for driver’s licenses or identification cards and answered “no” to the question of whether they were citizens, but were automatically registered anyway .. “Accidentally” !!!! Of course !!

The governor claimed to have learned of the issue July 15 and confirmed she had received a letter from the Trump administration warning that some 35,000 people may have been improperly registered. “We asked them for evidence, but have not heard back” … Uhh… 6,600 is a pretty good start.. Dontcha think?

THE FRAUD STOPS HERE !! .. RFK Jr has halted some (about $1 Billion) Medicaid funds to California and Minnesota over fraud allegations. Of course, Governors Newsom and Walz are angry.

“We are not sending Medicaid dollars out the door until we have confidence that they are being spent lawfully and appropriately,” Kennedy said “if they want the funds, they need to provide documentation that these payments are legitimate.”

RFK Jr criticized the Biden administration’s oversight of Medicaid, arguing that former HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra “looked the other way while fraud, waste, and abuse exploded.” .... “Instead of protecting your money, they open the floodgates to theft,”…They dismantled basic program integrity and oversight.”

“The scammers got paid…The taxpayers got stuck with these enormous bills.”

Khalid Satary, 54,, a notorious fugitive on the FBI’s Most Wanted Fraudsters List for allegedly stealing more than half a billion dollars from Medicare was captured after an international manhunt.

Satary was cuffed in the Middle East on Monday after more than three years on the lam for allegedly orchestrating a scheme to defraud Medicare of over $547 million, the US Department of Justice announced on Tuesday.

Satary was indicted in 2019 in the Eastern District of Louisiana for allegedly billing Medicare for expensive and unnecessary genetic tests between 2016 and 2019, according to prosecutors.

PUSH THE SHUTDOWN DOWN THE ROAD … The House moved yesterday to head-off a potential government shutdown before this fall’s critical midterm elections by passing a bill to fund the federal government through Dec. 4.

The deadline for action is more than two months away, but House GOP leaders are not leaving to chance another possible shutdown souring the mood of voters shortly before they go to the polls. House Speaker Mike Johnson dared Democrats to vote against the bill, and if they did, “then they alone are going to own the chaos that ensues if the government shuts down after September 30.”

The House passed the measure by a mostly party-line vote of 220-205.
