Most of you readers can remember the college admissions process ..
For yourself, filling out forms and applying to a few schools.. A “reach” school .. and a “safety school” .. Looking through catalogues to see if your grades and SAT scores line up with the school you like..
Then came the “Common Application” where you fill out one Application .. and you can push a button (and pay your $$$ of course) and apply to 10 or 20 places ..
Many high schoolers are seeing these stories of, “I got my degree in humanities and social work and I have $200,000 in debt and the only job I can find pays $30,000 a year.. I can’t afford to pay my student loan and still EAT” … They see these things.. and think… MAYBE, I should apprentice as an electrician and be making $75,000-$100,000 a year within a few years .. and NO College Loan..
Well, this mean LESS applicants .. and if you’re a college admission officer watching enrollment drop … What can you do???
Answer: Accept more people … Even ones that didn’t apply.
Think I am joking? .. The number of colleges that are reviewing “Common App” profiles and sending acceptance letters .. to high school students that DIDN’T EVEN APPLY to THEIR SCHOOL is ……GROWING!!!
Some of them… (Including the example I’m about to give you) Send and acceptance “WITH SCHOLARSHIP MONEY OFFERED”
Wingate University in NC told thousands of high schoolers some good news: They were already accepted into the class of 2030, and they'd be receiving $24,000 of scholarships. No application required.

The giant shell game of “putting students under mountains of debt to give jobs to Administrators and teachers that don’t educate children” has run amok. 2. A man was arrested after he was caught casing the Trump LA golf course ahead of a visit by the President.
Jeanine John Taele, 38, of Downey, was charged in a federal criminal complaint with possessing an unregistered short-barreled rifle after his arrest at Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles in Rancho Palos Verdes.
Taele was seen walking the area and taking video and photos and wearing an ear piece. He returned the next day claiming to be part of the security detail. Employees reported him to the ACTUAL security and he was arrested. He had a bunch of guns in his car and at his house and was out on $250,000 bail in a 2025 robbery case.
