Can I borrow $312 Million?

The latest “are you kidding” moment from the DOGE team ..

They identified that the Small Business Administration (SBA) granted nearly 5,600 loans for $312 million to borrowers whose only listed owner was 11 years old or younger at the time of the loan. The loans were issued in 2020 and 2021 and it is unclear what they were used for.

"While it is possible to have business arrangements where this is legal, that is highly unlikely for these 5,593 loans, as they all also used an SSN with the incorrect name," the agency wrote. DOGE and the SBA are working together to solve this problem this week, they said..

$312 Million loan to 11 year olds? .. That could start one heckuva lemonade stand !!

NEW YORK: Well, that’s one way to do it.

The ongoing “war of ideas” on what to do with protesters took a new turn. The “universities that are reluctant to punish or discipline people and students” vs. The “protest is fine, but you can’t take over a campus.. or a building.. and you have to follow police orders or get arrested”

Trump threatens to withhold Federal money from any school that allows “illegal protests” (and other woke stuff) and some say that’s a violation of the First Amendment. (I guess those people missed the “illegal” part of the statement) ..

Anyways … There was a protest last week at Barnard College/Columbia university where “Pro-Palestine” protesters “took over” the Library Building. There was also a bomb threat .. The NYPD eventually cleared the building. Some student protesters were arrested. They were protesting a student being expelled for last year’s illegal protests at the college, as well as, general mistreatment of Palestinians.

Trump cannot mandate how the schools deal with these students .. and the “withhold money” (Which they just pulled $400 million from Columbia for non-compliance with anti-discrimination law) thing will be tied up in courts for a while … What he CAN do.. Is revoke student visas .. Which he did ..

“We revoked the first visa of an alien who was previously cited for criminal behavior in connection with Hamas-supporting disruptions,” a State Department spokesperson said. “This individual was a university student. [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] will proceed with removing this person from the country.”

Like I say over and over.. Protest all you want. It’s an American right .. But, it’s not unrestricted. A private institution can tell you to get out of their building .. And the protests must be non-violent.

VATICAN: The Pope is showing “slight improvements” and is eating solid food .. The Vatican said he did respiratory and motor physiotherapy and his condition "appears stable, with slight gradual improvements."
