BEIJING/TAIPEI, (Reuters) - China staged military drills off Taiwan's north, south and east coasts on Tuesday as a "stern warning" against separatism and called Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te a "parasite," as Taiwan sent warships to respond to China's navy approaching its shores.
The exercises, which China has not formally named unlike war games last year, are happening after a rise in Chinese rhetoric against Lai and follow on the heels of U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth's Asia visit.

OHIO: Cleveland Cliffs is laying off 1,200 employees as demand from the US Auto industry has slowed.. “These actions will allow the company to operate more efficiently and in a more cost competitive way for the current market environment,” the company said in its statement. “We believe that, once President Trump’s policies take full effect and automotive production is re-shored, we should be able to resume steel production at Dearborn Works.”

HOA Restaurant Group filed the motion for Chapter 11 protection Monday in the North Texas Bankruptcy Court in Dallas.
The company ran into financial woes as its debts mounted, but it says it intends to stay open and resolve its troubles within months. A group of the company’s original founders that own almost a third of Hooters’ U.S. locations, including about half of its biggest volume restaurants, plans to buy and operate more of the outlets, Hooters said in a news release.
I dunno.. if you need to cost cut.. Make their outfits a little smaller..

Reminds me of the story of Hall Of Fame pitcher W.A. “Candy” Cummings. He invented the curveball. (From watching sea shells curve when thrown.. and billiard balls spin) ..
