HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY !!! Celebrating July 4, 1776 when the Continental Congress finalized the text to the Declaration of Independence .. A few fun facts.. The Continental Congress actually voted to declare independence on July 2. .. and.. The document was actually signed by most delegates on August 2, 1776.
So.. Some argue we should celebrate July 2 .. and some say August 2 .. I say.. MONTH LONG PARTY !!! Everyone gets the Month Off !!!!

USA: Private sector hiring unexpectedly contracted in June, payrolls processing firm ADP said. Private payrolls lost 33,000 jobs in June the first decrease since March 2023. Economists polled by Dow Jones forecast an increase of 100,000 for the month. The May job growth figure was revised even lower to just 29,000 jobs added from 37,000.
“Though layoffs continue to be rare, a hesitancy to hire and a reluctance to replace departing workers led to job losses last month,” Nela Richardson, ADP’s chief economist, said in a press release
Do any of you think this is the beginning of the AI trend? AI isn’t like robots that take factory jobs… AI can replace (eventually) just about ALL of us.. I mean.. If an AI bot learns all statutes, all case law, and all decisions.. Won’t it be a SUPER lawyer? ..

WISCONSIN: The Wisconsin Supreme Court’s liberal majority struck down the state’s 176-year-old abortion ban on Wednesday, ruling 4-3 that it was superseded by newer state laws regulating the procedure, including statutes that criminalize abortions only after a fetus can survive outside the womb.
This was not a surprise. The one Judge campaigned on abortion rights and blasted the law during oral arguments..

UTAH: Bryan Kohberger, the man charged with killing four University of Idaho students, pleaded guilty yesterday to four counts of first-degree murder as part of an agreement with prosecutors that allows him to avoid the death penalty.
Under the plea agreement, Kohberger will face life sentences, running consecutively, for each charge of first-degree murder, as well as 10 years for the felony burglary charge, Hippler said. Kohberger waived his right to appeal his sentence under the agreement. .. He will be formally sentenced July 23.

A judge has ordered the 911 people back to work.. and some water employees . But.. MAN .. How bad .. sorry.. How much WORSE is the stench gonna be with garbage piling up in the streets in 100 degree heat? … and the RATS WILL COME..

The explosion at a fireworks warehouse in ESPARTO, CA set of a HUGE fire… Smoke plumes WAAAYYY into the air.. .. HERE.. HERE…
People were urged to avoid the area for several days after the explosions. Eaparto is a farming community is about 40 miles northwest of Sacramento. The cause of the explosion was under investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
As long as no one gets hurt… That might be kinda fun to watch….(and NO… Im no PYRO.. I didn’t set the fire just to watch the fireworks.. )

An intern for Rep. Ron Estes (R-KS) was shot and killed in a shooting that took place in Washington, D.C.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) revealed in a press release that Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, 21, of Granby, Massachusetts, was one of three people who was reported to have been severely injured as a result of the shooting. The MPD added that they believe Tarpinian-Jachym was “not the intended target of the shooting.”
It’s kinda crazy that the District where our Federal Government is.. is such a cesspool of crime .. You’d THINK they would do something about it…

Paramount said that it had agreed to pay President Trump $16 million to settle his lawsuit over the editing of an interview on the CBS News program “60 Minutes,” an extraordinary concession to a sitting president by a major media organization.
Paramount said its payment included Mr. Trump’s legal fees and costs and that the money, minus the legal fees, would be paid to Mr. Trump’s future presidential library.
As part of the settlement, Paramount said, it agreed to release written transcripts of future “60 Minutes” interviews with presidential candidates.
Staffers of 60 Minutes, CBS and other networks are furious. They think this sets and awful precedent …
I think it sets a GREAT precedent. Stop selectively and deceptively editing interviews to push your narratives .. When Harris, Trump or ANY candidate says stupid stuff … Let the people see it….

Something interesting to watch.. There are TWO exemptions into the British Open available at the Deere. They go to the two highest finishers that are not otherwise qualified .. Jason Day and Ben Griffin are already IN the Open due to top 50 in World Rankings.. So is Sungjae IM. ..(and McCarthy, Kirk, Lawrence)
So… If those guys are atop the Leaderboard… You could have a dog fight for 5th and 6th place for a chance to play in the British Open…

SWIMMING: The Ivy League and UPenn have agreed to strip male swimmer Lia Thomas of the titles he won competing as a woman.
The resolution agreement signed by the university will require it to undertake a host of additional actions, including adopting “biology-based definitions for ‘male’ and ‘female’ under Title IX” and issuing a public statement that it will no longer allow biological men to compete in female athletic programs or occupy women-only locker rooms.

Diddy gets a NOT GUILTY Verdict .. Well .. of the trafficking charges and the RICO charges.. The jury found him guilty on the prostitution charges. Which carry 10 years max but no minimum.. So, a total of 20 years max.. I bet he gets 1-2.. and serves 6 months to a year.. I mean.. They can just give him probation or “time served”, can they?
You’ve read this here several times.. They proved he committed crimes .. but NOT the crimes he was charged with.. He is an A-hole. He beat and assaulted women. He drugged his girlfriends and made them do things they didn’t want to.. The guy belongs in Prison. He is a bad man. But, those crimes were over a decade ago and past the statute of limitations..
